The Home
A freshly painted (2025) tropical oasis in the Waterford Scripps Ranch community, with about 3,600 sq ft of living space on a quiet cul-de-sac. Outside, enjoy a large pool with a kids' waterslide, hot tub, built-in BBQ, fire pit, and lush outdoor living. Inside, a fully-equipped kitchen, multiple living areas, a dedicated kids' playroom, and a workspace give everyone room to spread out. Four bedrooms (king, two queens, and a bunk room) plus a baby crib sleep up to eight guests comfortably. No parties or events permitted.
Guest Access
You have access to the entire home with the exception of a standalone 1-car garage. A spacious 2-car attached garage is available for guest use.
The Neighborhood
Ideally situated about 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, local beaches, Legoland California, and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Steps from the front door, a trail leads around scenic Lake Miramar — perfect for jogging, hiking, and biking. Scripps Ranch offers a peaceful suburban feel with easy freeway access to everything the city has to offer.
Good to Know
The pool, spa, and ground-level fire pit are not gated or covered — adult supervision is required for children at all times. The pool is heated to 85°F in summer and 80°F in the cooler months, and the spa to 104°F year-round. The soaking tub in the primary bathroom is non-functional; tubs are available in two other bathrooms. Entry is keyless via August Smart Lock with a personal code; physical keys are also available on request. We are committed to Rent Responsibly standards and your comfort is our top priority.

Thank you Gary for the fantastic stay. We had a blast. The outside area is gorgeous, we loved the pool, hot tub and slide. We enjoyed our lunches and dinners both outside and inside. The playroom was a hit with the kids! We will absolutely come back.

Excellent rental home with a great set up for a family. Plenty of room; wonderful pool & back yard set up; convenient location with great restaurant options nearby. Our children truly enjoyed the pool with pool slide and playroom. We enjoyed our stay!

if you want an opportunity to get away and build memories with the family, I highly suggest Gary’s place. Great neighborhood, peaceful and calm. backyard, pool area and barbecue worked out fantastic for my family. Will definitely book this property again.

Excellent stay for our group of six, including our two kids who spent much of our vacation enjoying the pool and hot tub. The play room was also a big hit! Gary was super responsive and very helpful. The entire house was very clean. Comfy beds. Well stocked with plenty of towels and even some beach gear. Roughly half an hour from everywhere we wanted to go - beaches, Legoland, etc. We didn't want to leave!

We had a great time staying at Gary's place in San Diego. Check-in was easy. Communication with owners was smooth. House was clean and had amenities for all of us to enjoy, including beach stuff to enjoy a day out at the beach. It's located in a peaceful neighborhood and provided privacy. Kids had a great time in the pool. We were pretty comfortable and felt like home away from home. We would look forward to visiting again.

Things to know
House rules
- No smoking within 25 feet of the property.
- No pets of any kind.
- No parties or events of any kind. No extra guests beyond your reservation count. Maximum 8 guests.
- Be respectful of neighbors — keep noise to a reasonable level at all times. Quiet hours: 10 PM – 8 AM.
- Children must be supervised near the pool and hot tub at all times. No running or glass on the pool deck.
Cancellation policy
- Cancel more than 30 days before check-in for a full refund of the rental amount.
- Cancel 7–30 days before check-in for a 50% refund of nightly costs.
- Cancellations within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable.
If a refund is issued under these terms, card processing will not be returned. Wire has no processing fee.
